4.3 Any changes to profile information must be made as soon as possible through the platform or by contacting TutorAide Inc.
5.1 When the student is a minor, registration must be completed by their parent or legal guardian, who becomes the responsible account holder.
5.2 By registering, the parent or legal guardian consents to their child receiving tutoring services from TutorAide Inc. and acknowledges having read these terms.
6.1 By completing their registration, the client consents to having their needs published within TutorAide Inc.'s tutor network, for the purpose of finding the tutor best suited to their situation.
6.2 TutorAide Inc. does everything in its power to complete the matching as quickly as possible. However, no matching timeline is guaranteed. TutorAide Inc. cannot be held responsible for the inability to find an available tutor matching the expressed needs.
7.1 TutorAide Inc. proceeds with matching according to criteria it deems relevant, including academic level, subject, location, and the student's specific needs.
7.2 Once the match is made, a confirmation email is sent to the client. The tutor makes contact within 24 business hours of this email to schedule the first session. If the client has not been contacted within this timeframe, it is their responsibility to notify TutorAide Inc. without delay.
7.3 The client may request a tutor change by contacting TutorAide Inc. A new match will be made as soon as possible. However, TutorAide Inc. reserves the right to refuse any change request motivated by discriminatory reasons, including those based on origin, gender, religion, or any other ground contrary to TutorAide Inc.'s values.
In the event of client tardiness, the tutor waits a maximum of 20 minutes and attempts to reach the client by call and/or SMS. The session ends at the originally scheduled time, unless there is explicit agreement between the parties. Time not used due to the client's tardiness is not subject to any refund or credit.
In the event of tutor tardiness of more than 20 minutes, the client is invited to contact them by call and/or SMS. After this delay, if no response or confirmation is received from the tutor, the client reserves the right to cancel the session at no charge.
In the event of a session cancellation by the tutor within less than 12 hours before the session, the session is cancelled with no charge or penalty to the client.
9.1 Payment is made by credit card through the platform's secure payment system. At TutorAide Inc.'s discretion, payment by Interac transfer or bank transfer may be accepted in certain specific cases — the client must then contact TutorAide Inc. to arrange the terms.
9.2 Any invoice issued is due within 2 business days of its issuance.
9.3 In the event of non-payment within this timeframe, TutorAide Inc. applies the following procedure:
10.1 Hours included in a plan (Select Plan or Plus Plan) must be used within the specified timeframe from the first scheduled appointment.
10.2 In the event of renewal of the same plan or upgrade to a higher plan, unused hours are carried over once into the new period. These hours constitute a bonus usable during that new period only — they do not extend the plan's timeframe and cannot be carried over a second time.
10.3 Any unused hours at the expiration of the plan, including carried-over hours, are permanently forfeited.
11.1 In accordance with the Quebec Consumer Protection Act, the client has a right of withdrawal in the following situations:
11.2 After this period, the plan can no longer be subject to withdrawal, except in the cases provided for in section 14.
